Foster Bros 6" Cleaver Hand-Forged Laminated Steel Grooved Hardwood and Iron Cap 1880s-1920

Antique Foster Bros cleaver with san mai style laminated steel 6" blade, with a grooved corner hardwood handle with an iron ferrule dome. 

Blade has some shallow pits from light rust, but nothing disfiguring, handle is nice and secure with no cracks, looseness or huge gaps. 

Always nice to find these smaller cleavers from this era of Foster Bros.
