André Verdier has been operating as a family cutlery business since 1859.  The first registered name of the company was La Botte Couronée, founded by Antoine Delignére in Celles-sur-Durolle, near Thiers. Today, André Verdier products are entirely made in France.  Most manufacturing processes continue are performed in-house and 95% of Verdier's partners are within 40km of their headquarters, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of their products.
